Today we had our assembly presentation. Mrs Bellamy was very proud of us. We had to speak up as the microphone didn't work. You can see who we respect on the classroom wall if you missed our presentation. We are looking forward to our Respect Party next Thursday. We have to dress up as someone we respect!

Our Big Buddies

This is us with our big buddies from Room 6. We are about to put on the evasion belts and complete an obstacle course. We have to make sure the belts don't break by working together in pairs as a team.

Camryn's Birthday

Camryn's mum made us some yummy muffins to share with room 8 as a special treat for Camryn's birthday.

Printing Star Sucess

Olivia has become the first person in Room 8 to get 5 printing stars in a row. Each time you get a printing star you get to use pen the next day. If you get 5 stars in a row you get a very special sticker. Congratulations Olivia!

Hunter is our Super Star in Room 8 this week. With a huge improvement in his reading over the term he certainly deserves this honour.

A Beautiful Butterfly - Brooke

Brooke brought along some caterpillers that are busy eating cauliflower and getting fatter and fatter. Some have turned into cocoons and one has hatched into a beautiful butterfly.

Eggxperiment - conducted by Eligh and Ruby-May

Mrs Meehan showed us a science experiement.

1. Put an egg in a jar and pour over white vinger.

2. Screw on the lid

3. Wait 4 days

4. Tip out the vinger and add water to the jar.

5. Wait 1 day.

The egg should turn rubbery and be able to BOUNCE!

We had a running race and when I got running I got really sweaty. My t-shirt got stuck to my body. It was really hot and at the end I got a drink and I ran again. I was 3^rd.

The Race

It felt like I was at the cross country when I ran around the school. I beat Camryn and I beat the fast runners. I came fourth – lucky me. I felt like a champion! It felt like it wasn’t a dream, it was a real race – a champion race and I came first. Then we had another race and this time I came fourth. I was puffing and my heart was beating like a racing car. I was proud of myself like I had never been before.

The Big Fire on Mount Allan

There was a big fire up on Mount Allan. I was terrified at the end of school that day. I had a big surprise, my aunty and uncle picked me up and we went up the hill. It was too dark. We had to turn around.
