Today we shuffled around school as ice covered our courts. For story writing we wrote descriptions about the ice using interesting adjectives such glistening, sparkling, cold, freezing, Mr Marshall liked Kayley's description so much that she not only received a Principal's Award but Mr Marshall also read her story to the class as well.
Well Done Kayley!
Cold as Ice - by Kayley
Room 8 went out to have a skate on the freezing cold ice. My fingers felt like icebergs with sparkling ice on them. I felt like I was going to freeze. The ice was glistening in my eye. It felt icy all over my hands. I had icy lips. My eyes were frozen like popsicles.
More Descriptions about the ICE
Cold as Ice by Finn
When we went outside we did some
skating. I slipped on the cold,
freezing, thick ice. I did some
shuffling on the sparkling ice.
Ice is slippery because every time you run you will slip.
Cold as Ice by Nick
As I stepped on the sparkling ice, I
slipped over. When I got up I was
dizzy. I shuffled and made a
rustling sound on the ice. My
fingers were frozen like popsicles.
Cold as Ice by Emily C.
Room 8 went on the sparkling ice. It was freezing, slippery ice. The ice was white, soft and
slippery. Some leaves were stuck
to the sparkling ice. The ice was
cracking when I was skating on it.
Did you know that ice is made out of white, shining water? The ice was thick and freezing when I
skated. My hands were like
icicles. Then we came inside. They were not like icicles when we were
inside. It was not white and freezing. It was warm.
