Brave Father Mouse - read by Ethan

Delightful Teddy Bears and Other Favourites

After reading a book about a Teddy Bear called 'Dougal the Garbage Dump Bear' we decided to write a character description about Dougal.
Dougal the Garbage Dump Bear. Dougal the Garbage Dump Bear was a shy, little bear. He was old and dirty and not quite perfect. He wished he could be like the other toys and be clean and new. Dougal got very frightened at the dump because he was scared of the dragon machine. Sometimes he liked to be alone but he loved making new friends and helping others. He had a heart of gold and was kind to everyone. He realized that sometimes bad things happen so that good things can happen. Dougal learnt you just have to make the best of things no matter what happens in your life. Written by Room 8
Today we brought along our own Teddies and wrote teddy descriptions.

Making Lip Licken Ice Cream

After reading a book called 'Rupert's Ice Cream Machine' we decided to invent our own delicious ice cream favour and write a recipe for it. Some favours included Ollie's Ocean Oscar Ice Cream, Lily's Lovely Ice Cream, Jaime's Jumping Jelly Ice Cream, Logan K's Lime, Lollypop, Little Ice Cream, Matthew's M & M, Milky Ice Cream, Olivia's Olly, Octopus Ice Cream.
Today we made yummy Lip-Licken Ice Cream. After a second attempt it worked! Yay! Many thanks to Lily's mum who came to the rescue and made a second batch for us. After freezing overnight we will add our favourite toppings and ENJOY!

Fluffy Feathers

Matthew brought along three different kinds of feathers to school from different birds. He couldn't wait to show Mrs Stedman (our librarian) but she was sick. Perhaps this week she will be better.

A very proud son!

Hunter is very proud of his parents because they were runner-up in the Otago Share Milker of the year competition. They won this trophy that Hunter is holding and a motor bike and many other prizes. Go, Hunters parents. Well Done!

Noah's back from Aussie!

Noah had a wonderful time in Australia. He visited Underwater World, the Australian Zoo, and Dream World. He got to feed the elephants which was his dream come true. He also got given a blow up guitar from his sister. A story written by Noah will be on the blog soon.
